Bio

Dr. Ployploen Phikulsod is a distinguished Hematologist and Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Phikulsod completed her M.D. in 2007, Diploma Thai Board of Hematology in 2012, and PhD in Immunology in 2024 from Mahidol University. After completing Hematology residency training at Faculty of Medicine, at Siriraj Hospital, her career began as a Faculty member at the Hematology Division, Siriraj Hospital. 
Dr. Phikulsod has also gained her international career experiences in Japan and UK through prestigious scholarship, i.e. the Takeda Science Foundation, and the ERASMUS, respectively. Her PhD training was focusing on cancer vaccine and CART cells.
Dr. Phikulsod specializes in leukemia and lymphoma. Her extensive research encompasses clinical trials on innovative treatment of hematologic malignancy including drug response prediction, immunotherapy, cellular therapy and supportive care in cancer. With numerous publications and presentations to her name, Dr. Phikulsod is a respected member of The Thai Society of Hematology and The Royal College of Physicians of Thailand. Her dedication to advancing hematology and patient care underscores her status as a leading figure in her field.

Qualifications

M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand, obtained in 2007. Diploma Thai Board of Hematology, awarded by Mahidol University in 2012. PhD in Immunology from Mahidol University, completed in 2024. Additionally, she has earned several certificates and completed various training programs relevant to her field: Certificate in Medical Ethics from Siriraj Hospital, Certificate in Good Clinical Practice from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI), Certificate in Cellular Therapy from the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and George Washington University, USA, Certificate in Making a Cell Therapy: Principles and Practice of Manufacturing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
