This initial child/teen + parent ADHD coaching package is suitable for children/teens between ages of 10-17. This package will provide clients an introduction to ADHD coaching, where Crystal will work with both child/teen and parent/s to identify their child/teen’s ADHD strengths and areas of challenge, , using the VIA Character Strengths assessment and the Executive Functioning Skills survey. She will partner with the child/teen and parents to assess coaching readiness and subsequently partner with them to identify and set some shared/individual goals, working with parents and their child to develop skills and strategies to manage day to day ADHD challenges.
This package includes 5x 45 minute coaching sessions with Crystal Choi, a qualified and International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredited ADHD coach. The 5 sessions will be divided into child/teen + parent sessions (generally 3-4) and separate sessions for parents without their child/teen (1-2 sessions) The package will also include relevant assessments and surveys to identify key strengths and executive functioning challenges that will be discussed during sessions.
Coaching with a qualified ADHD coach is emerging as an impactful option in the treatment of ADHD, and is often the preferred non- pharmaceutical treatment of choice, or is recommended for inclusion in an ADHD treatment plan, alongside medication, for families who are looking to make positive changes and to support their child to understand and manage their ADHD. Using a strength-based approach, ADHD coaching will help families not only understand the neuroscience behind unique ADHD brain wiring, but will help them understand how their child’s ADHD presents and help develop the skills to accept and manage these challenges to lead a more positive and less chaotic family life.
Families can choose to either see Crystal in person at the Health Deliver clinic, or to meet with her online. Please ensure that you have already booked and attended 1x (free) initial coaching consultation session before booking subsequent coaching sessions. Once you have booked and paid for your package, you can select the dates that work for you, via the online scheduler. Alternatively, you can make each subsequent booking at the end of each session. It is a requirement that either one or both parents is available to attend each child/teen + parent session with their child.
ADHD coaching is a personalised way to get support with the everyday challenges of ADHD. As a coach, I work with you (or your child) to help tackle things like organisation, time management, focus, and handling emotions. Together, we set goals that matter to you—whether for school, work, personal or family life—and come up with strategies that fit your unique strengths and needs. Through one-on-one sessions, we work on building practical skills, boosting confidence, and making life a little easier, one step at a time.
Each of these approaches has its own unique focus:
ADHD Coaching is all about working together to build practical skills and strategies for managing the daily challenges of ADHD. As a coach, I’ll partner with you (or your child) to set meaningful goals, make a clear plan, and stay on track with things like time management, focus, and motivation. Coaching is hands-on and encourages building helpful habits that stick.
Mentoring is often about sharing personal experience and guidance in a specific area, like a career or skill. Mentors offer advice and encouragement, but they may not focus on developing specific ADHD strategies.
Counselling/Therapy is provided by licensed professionals who help with emotional and psychological concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma or self-esteem issues. Therapists help clients explore underlying feelings, process past experiences, and may offer clinical diagnoses and treatment plans. While therapists may work with people with ADHD, their approach often involves support for deeper mental health challenges, rather than practical strategies for daily challenges.
Not at all! You don’t need any prior knowledge about ADHD to benefit from coaching. We’ll start from wherever you’re at, and I’ll help you learn more about how ADHD affects you (or your child) specifically. Together, we’ll explore practical ways to work with ADHD and build on your understanding as we go.
To make the most of coaching, it’s helpful to take a little time before each session to think back on what we worked on last time and consider any topics or goals you’d like to focus on next. This reflection keeps our sessions focused and helps us build on each step together.
This is totally ok… Not everyone is in the right mindset or stage of life to find coaching impactful. I will work with you to assess your readiness for coaching and will suggest alternative options if you’re not yet ready. Sometimes, it could be a matter of a coach/client mismatch, in which case I will do my best to refer you another coach to find a more suitable match.
